SUB launches Bangladesh's first MSc in data science and machine learning

The State University of Bangladesh (SUB) announced the launch of the nation's first-ever Master of Science (MSc) in Data Science and Machine Learning. Offered under the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), this pioneering programme is designed to meet the rising demand for skilled professionals in Data Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Fintech, and Cognitive Science, setting a new standard in Bangladesh's academic landscape.

This 1.5-year programme is carefully crafted to provide students with advanced knowledge and practical skills. Spanning 40 credits over three semesters, the curriculum covers key areas such as Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics, Neural Networks, Cloud Computing, Computer Programming, and AI Ethics. Emphasising hands-on learning, the programme is supported by state-of-the-art laboratories and a personalised educational approach, featuring a student-to-lecturer ratio of 25:1.

The programme offers world-class facilities, including specialised laboratories for Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, and Robotics. The eligibility criteria are inclusive, welcoming candidates from diverse academic backgrounds such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, and more.
