State University hosts AI scope and challenges seminar

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at the State University of Bangladesh successfully organised a seminar titled "Shaping the Future with Artificial Intelligence (AI): Scope and Challenges."
The event brought together distinguished experts, academicians, and industry professionals to discuss AI's immense potential and the challenges it presents. The seminar witnessed an enthusiastic response, with over 100 participants, including students, faculty members, and AI enthusiasts, actively engaging in insightful discussions.
The seminar was graced by Professor Dr. Nawzia Yasmin, Pro Vice-Chancellor, as the Chief Guest. Professor Dr. Md. Hassan Kawsar, Treasurer; Dr. Ahmed Hussain, Registrar; and Muhammad Masud Tarek, Head of the CSE Department, attended as Special Guests. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Ashiq Rahman, an esteemed AI Strategist known for pioneering AI initiatives and leading teams in AI innovation. With his extensive expertise, he provided deep insights into the evolving AI landscape, future trajectories, and the critical need for ethical AI development. Dr. Sharmin Parveen, a professor at the CSE Department, chaired the session.
Discussions during the seminar encompassed AI's transformative role across various industries, ethical considerations, job market implications, and emerging opportunities in academic research. Participants actively engaged in thought-provoking discussions, gaining insights into AI-driven advancements and challenges.
