Square textiles declare cash dividend for shareholders

Square Textiles PLC. declared a Cash Dividend of 32% to its shareholders for the year ended June 30, 2024, at its 29th Annual General Meeting, held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, under the virtual platform.

The AGM was presided over by the Chairman of the Company, Mr. Tapan Chowdhury.

Mrs Ratna Patra, Vice Chairman; Mr Samuel S Chowdhury, Managing Director; Mr Abul Kalam Azad and Mr Muhammadul Haque, Independent Directors; Mr Md. Kabir Reza, Head of A and F; Mr Aminur Rahman, CFO; and Mr Sanjib Baran Roy, Company Secretary, attended the meeting.

The Turnover, Gross Profit, and Net Profit (After Tax) for the year ended 30 June 2024 were Tk. 18.93 billion, Tk. 2.33 billion, and Tk. 1.08 billion, respectively. During the year under review, the turnover, Gross Profit, and Net Profit rose to 26.45%, 24.45%, and 0.98%, respectively.

The company contributed Tk—264.93 million to the National Exchequer. The Board of Directors appreciates the performance of the officers, staff, and workers whose untiring efforts helped to optimise the company's profit. The Directors expressed their gratitude and acknowledged with keen interest the cooperation and unflinching support received from various agencies, including the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission, Stock Exchanges, National Board of Revenue, and other agencies of the public and private sectors.

Shareholders attended the AGM, and many of them participated in the discussion regarding the company's performance and future expansion.

At the end, Mr. Tapan Chowdhury, Chairman, expressed their deep appreciation to shareholders for their trust and support of the company's performance.
