Southeast Bank teams up with Visa to unveil Islamic Signature credit card

Southeast Bank PLC, in partnership with Visa, has launched the Tijarah Islamic Visa Signature Credit Card within its Tijarah Islamic Banking segment, offering customers Shariah-compliant, interest-free financial solutions tailored to meet their ethical banking needs.

Instead of traditional interest charges, the card applies a tiered Monthly Maintenance Fee on outstanding transactions after the payment due date. Cardholders earn 1 Mukafa (reward point) for every Tk 100 spent, with points uniquely redeemed annually and donated as Sadakah to underprivileged individuals, distinguishing this card from conventional credit options.

Unique benefits include a complimentary pick-and-drop service, exclusive access to over 1,500 international lounges via Visa LoungeKey, EMI Pay, Buy One Get One Free offers, takaful coverage, and year-round cashback, making the Tijarah Islamic Visa Signature Credit Card a standout in the market.

The card was unveiled by Southeast Bank MD (CC) Abidur Rahman Chowdhury and Visa Country Manager Sabbir Ahmed, alongside senior officials.
