SBC seeks to work with govt on insurance sector development
A delegation from the state-owned Sadharan Bima Corporation (SBC) paid a courtesy call on Finance and Planning Minister Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury and State Minister Md Zonaed Abdur Rahim Saki on 21 February 2026, offering floral greetings and congratulations.
According to a press release, the delegation was led by Mohammad Zainul Bari, Chairman of SBC's Board of Directors and former secretary, and Md Harun-or-Rashid, Managing Director of SBC and Additional Secretary.
The courtesy meeting was held at the Finance and Planning Minister's office. Nazma Mobarek, Secretary of the Financial Institutions Division, was also present.

During the meeting, senior SBC officials expressed their commitment to developing the country's insurance sector and ensuring transparency to help maintain economic stability. They also wished the new leadership success in implementing the government's election manifesto and assured their full cooperation.
