Prime Bank recognised as TradeTrust-Ready Partner
Prime Bank PLC has been recognised as a TradeTrust-Ready Partner, a milestone in its digital trade journey.
TradeTrust, developed by Singapore's Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), is an open-source framework that enables trusted, interoperable exchange of electronic trade documents across systems and borders, according to a press release.
By becoming TradeTrust-Ready, Prime Bank has shown it is operationally ready to use TradeTrust-enabled electronic trade documentation, advancing secure, cross-border digital trade. The lender recently held a commemorative session at Prime Tower in the capital's Nikunja to mark the achievement.
Speaking at the session, Prime Bank Deputy Managing Director and Chief Information Officer Syed Sazzad Haider Chowdhury said, "This recognition proves that our trade infrastructure meets the world's digital benchmarks, empowering local and international traders to eliminate courier delays, lower costs, and accelerate cross-border commerce."
Md Tanveer Bin Hasan, head of trade digitalisation and innovation at Prime Bank, shared his insights into the future of digital trade.
Head of Trade Sajjad Hossain, Head of LC Processing Tamim Anam, and Export Head Mohammad Rafiqul Islam were also present to observe the milestone.
The recognition positions Prime Bank at the forefront of cross-border paperless trade, advancing the transition toward a digitally integrated economy.
