UCBD, SSL Wireless sign MoU to boost students' industry skills
Universal College Bangladesh (UCBD) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with software development and fintech company SSL Wireless to give students practical industry experience and professional skills.
According to a press release, the parties recently signed the agreement at SSL Wireless's corporate office in the capital.
Under the partnership, UCBD students will gain access to structured internship opportunities, career placement pipelines, specialised professional training, and interactive knowledge-sharing sessions led by industry experts. They will also observe live operational projects for firsthand exposure to corporate environments.
UCBD Chief Operating Officer Kingshuk Gupta and SSL Wireless Head of Human Resources Mohammad Saiful Islam signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organisations.
Speaking on the occasion, Gupta said: "Our priority at UCBD is to nurture job-ready graduates. Partnering with SSL Wireless allows our students to step directly into real-world work environments, gain meaningful software skills, and build competitive careers right from campus."
Saiful added: "Through this collaboration, we look forward to mentoring bright young minds at UCBD, helping them discover their strengths, and welcoming future leaders into our talent ecosystem."
Nashid Noureen, deputy manager of human resources at SSL Wireless, and Shah Yousha Ahmad, general manager of corporate relations at STS Group, were also invited to attend the signing ceremony.
