One One foundation, Medsys soft launch operations in Bangladesh
One One Foundation and Medsys Soft have commenced operations in Bangladesh, aiming to promote health education and literacy, rights awareness, employment creation, youth development, women's empowerment, climate and environmental conservation, and human resource development.
A ceremony was held on Thursday evening at the China Friendship International Conference Centre in Dhaka to mark the launch.
Former Water Resources and Religious Affairs Minister Nazim Uddin Al Azad attended as the chief guest. Ruhul Amin, Chairman of One One Foundation, presided over the event.
Among those who spoke were Dr Engineer Rafiqul Islam, Dr Azizullah M Nuruzzaman, Abu Yusuf Jobayer Ullah, Advocate Md Shafiqur Rahman, Engineer Ali Azam, One One Foundation Executive Director Habibur Rahman, Director Jannatul Ferdousi, and Dr Nahid Afrin Nisa.
Speakers urged young people to focus on nation-building by strengthening unity at the grassroots level.
One One Foundation is a US-based service-oriented organisation. The organisers stated that it has begun its journey in Bangladesh with a focus on youth development and women's empowerment.
They stated that the organisation will also work on civic rights and legal awareness, employment readiness for unemployed people, youth leadership and skills development, health awareness for marginalised communities, and women's economic and social empowerment. It will also support policy-making through development research, they added.
