NSU revives art and photography exhibition after three years
North South University (NSU), with support from Mercantile Bank PLC, has revived its flagship creative showcase with the Intra North South University Art & Photography Competition & Exhibition 2025—restoring one of the campus's largest cultural events after a three-year hiatus.
NSU last organised the exhibition in 2018, making this year's edition particularly significant for reintroducing the "Sculpture" category after nine years, signalling a renewed emphasis on nurturing diverse artistic expression.
The five-day exhibition, open daily from 9:00am to 6:00pm, features a vibrant collection of photographs, sketches, paintings, and sculptures created by NSU students, transforming the venue into a dynamic space for imagination and visual storytelling.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Tanvir Murad Topu, Head of Photography at Pathshala South Asian Media Institute, as chief guest; Professor Abdul Rob Khan, Treasurer of NSU, as special guest; and A K M Saleh Ahmed Anik, Faculty Adviser of the NSU Art and Photography Club. Senior faculty members and the club's executive body were also present, underscoring NSU's commitment to fostering student-led cultural and creative activities.
This year's exhibition received sponsorship from Paragon Catering and Petsmart Bangladesh, whose contributions enhanced the experience for both participants and visitors.
The event attracted coverage from leading media outlets, including News 24, Daily Sun, The Business Standard, Kaler Kantho, and Bee of Business, reflecting strong interest in the artistic work emerging from the NSU community.
