Saudi launches package visa to simplify travel bookings
Saudi Arabia has unveiled the Package Visa, a digital initiative integrating tourist visa applications with curated travel bookings, aiming to streamline entry and enhance convenience for international visitors.
The initiative is being rolled out through qualified travel and tourism service providers in selected international markets, including Bangladesh, ahead of a broader global launch.
Package Visa enables eligible travellers to book flights, accommodation, and a visa in a single, integrated process, with the option to add events, activities, and tourism experiences.
The initiative builds on Saudi Arabia's broader efforts to simplify travel to the country. Since introducing the tourist e-visa, Saudi Arabia has rolled out multiple travel access options, including visa on arrival and the Stopover Transit Visa.
These initiatives have fuelled Saudi Arabia's tourism growth, with the country welcoming more than 29 million inbound visitors in 2025.
Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al Khateeb said, "As Saudi Arabia's tourism sector continues to expand, Package Visa demonstrates our commitment to making travel to Saudi Arabia more seamless for visitors. By integrating visa issuance with travel bookings, we are simplifying the visitor journey and creating a more connected travel experience."
"This initiative also strengthens collaboration across the tourism ecosystem and reinforces Saudi Arabia's position as an increasingly accessible global destination," he added.
For qualified travel and tourism service providers, Package Visa creates opportunities to offer more attractive travel packages, streamline the traveller journey, and encourage longer stays and richer travel experiences.
Package Visa is available exclusively through qualified travel and tourism service providers that meet defined service standards and provide 24-hour customer support.
The Saudi Tourism Authority is responsible for marketing the country's tourism destinations globally and developing offerings through programmes, packages, and business support. The authority operates 16 representative offices worldwide, serving 38 countries.
