Muhammad Jahirul Islam elected managing director of matribhumi heart care
Muhammad Jahirul Islam has been elected managing director of Matribhumi Heart Care and Matribhumi Tours & Travels Ltd, and director of marketing and sales of Matribhumi Group, the company said.
Matribhumi Group described itself as a diversified conglomerate with six concerns: Matribhumi Heart Care, Matribhumi Tours & Travels Ltd, Matribhumi Holdings Ltd, Bangladesh Luxury Handicrafts Ltd, Matribhumi City, and Matribhumi Grand Resort and Hotel. It said the businesses operate across healthcare, tourism, real estate, hospitality, manufacturing and investment holdings.
The company said Islam, one of the owners of Matribhumi Group, plays a role in shaping the group's long-term strategy, and that his election reflects confidence in his leadership and commitment to sustainable growth.

Matribhumi Heart Care said it continues to provide specialised healthcare services focused on quality treatment and patient-centred care. Matribhumi Tours & Travels Ltd said it has been expanding domestic and international tourism services.
As director of marketing and sales, Islam will lead brand development, market positioning and partnerships across the group's concerns, according to the company.
Beyond business, the statement said Islam is the founder and chairman of Ignite Global Foundation, which works on youth empowerment, education, climate awareness and social development initiatives.
Matribhumi Group said it expects the appointments to strengthen operational performance, expand market presence and support the group's contribution to the country's economic and social development.
