MetLife launches 24-hour digital policy documents in Bangladesh

MetLife Bangladesh customers can now receive digital insurance policy documents within 24 hours of submitting their application, subject to certain requirements.
The move sets a new benchmark for customer-focused innovation in the country's insurance sector.
Previously, MetLife issued policy documents only in paper format after assessing risk, a process that took several days. Now, customers receive a digital copy by email within 24 hours, in addition to the printed version.
The digital document contains the customer's application forms, policy details, a personalised welcome letter, and terms and conditions. MetLife notes that this initiative lets customers store policies securely and access them instantly when needed.
"At MetLife, our mission is to make insurance simpler, faster, and more accessible for our customers. By introducing the 24-hour digital policy document issuance, we are not just speeding up a process; we are reimagining how customers experience insurance," said Ala Ahmad, chief executive officer of MetLife Bangladesh.
MetLife serves approximately one million customers in Bangladesh, advancing financial security and trust through innovative digital insurance solutions.
