Lifestyle brand J. expands presence in Bangladesh
J. a South Asian lifestyle brand, is expanding its presence in Bangladesh, offering a blend of contemporary design rooted in cultural heritage across apparel, accessories, and fragrances.
Founded in 2002, J. began with the aim of reinterpreting South Asian aesthetics for modern audiences. What began as a single store has grown into an international lifestyle brand with a presence across Pakistan, Bangladesh, the Middle East, Europe, North America, and Australasia.
The brand's product range spans apparel, accessories, and fragrances, focusing on designs intended for everyday wear while reflecting traditional influences. J. says its collections emphasise fabric quality, detailing, and versatile silhouettes suited to both daily use and special occasions.
Fragrances form a significant part of the brand's portfolio. J. Fragrances includes more than 100 scents across men's, women's, unisex, oud, and attar categories. The fragrances are developed in collaboration with international fragrance houses and produced at a manufacturing facility in the United Arab Emirates, adhering to global quality standards.
J. has also introduced celebrity-inspired fragrances in the region, developed in collaboration with sports personalities including Wasim Akram, Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik, and Sania Mirza. The brand presents these collections as personal narratives rather than conventional endorsements.
J. entered the Bangladesh market in 2024 and currently operates stores in Banani and Dhanmondi, targeting customers seeking a combination of cultural familiarity and modern styling. The company is set to open its third Bangladesh outlet at Centre Point, Uttara, in January 2026, further expanding its retail presence in Dhaka.
Globally, J. operates more than 150 outlets, maintaining a consistent in-store experience across markets. The company said its expansion in Bangladesh reflects a long-term commitment to the market and growing demand for lifestyle brands with cultural roots.
