Karmasangsthan Bank organises blood donation campaign

As part of its July Reawakening Programme 2025, Karmasangsthan Bank held a voluntary blood donation campaign on Monday, 4 August, at its head office in memory of the martyrs of the July uprising.
Arun Kumar Chowdhury, Managing Director of Karmasangsthan Bank, formally inaugurated the campaign as the chief guest. The initiative aimed to honour the sacrifices of the past while contributing to a life-saving humanitarian cause.
The event was attended by Deputy Managing Director Meher Sultana; General Managers Mahmuda Yasmin, Md Shafiqul Islam Miah, and Md Amirul Islam; as well as officials and staff from the head office, main branch, and Dhaka region. Mohammad Nasimul Haque, Principal Officer of the Marketing Unit, conducted the programme.
In his address, Arun Kumar Chowdhury offered prayers for the souls of the martyrs and wished a speedy recovery for those who were injured during the uprising. He noted that blood donation stands as one of the most noble acts of humanity, describing it as "the highest form of giving" that directly saves lives.
He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all participants who came forward spontaneously, and thanked the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society and others for fulfilling their moral and social responsibilities through active involvement in the campaign.
