Josephites Foundation names new executive committee for 2025–27 term
The Josephites Foundation, formerly the St Joseph Old Boys' Foundation, the alumni association of St Joseph Higher Secondary School and St Joseph International School, has announced its newly elected executive committee for the 2025–27 term.
The announcement was made at the foundation's 16th annual general meeting, held recently at the school premises.
Mohammed Tariqul Islam, chief HR and corporate communications officer at Confidence Group, has assumed the office of president. Latiful Bari, director of Rahamat Group, has been elected vice-president, Barrister Shafayat Ullah, senior EVP and group chief legal officer at Mutual Trust Bank Group, as general secretary, and Mahdi Al Ameen, executive director of Mindscape Communication, will serve as treasurer.
Other members of the executive committee are Ahmed Zafrul Hasan, chief manager and unit head (corporate banking) at Commercial Bank of Ceylon; Mohammad Munirul Islam, head of brand and CRM at BAIC-DFSK and a news personality; Mirza Hashibul Halim, EVP at Mutual Trust Bank; Salekeen Ibrahim, EVP at Eastern Bank; Ehtesham Newaz, director of Orchid Printers; Tareq Aziz, lecturer at St Joseph Higher Secondary School; and Sinan Al Aqil, marketing and commercial, Bangladesh Cricket Board.
The election was conducted by Syed Almas Kabir, managing director of AyAI Corp Limited and MetroNet Bangladesh Limited, and former president of BASIS and BMCCI, and former director of FBCCI.
The newly elected committee said it will work to support the institution's holistic development and strengthen alumni engagement through a structured, sustainable and socially impactful approach.
