ISD observes 55th Victory Day with student-led assembly
International School Dhaka (ISD) observed the 55th Victory Day of Bangladesh with a heartfelt assembly that united the school community in honouring the nation's history and the sacrifices of the martyrs.
The event featured student-led performances celebrating patriotism and unity.
The assembly began with a welcome speech by Dr Michael Palmer, Primary School Principal, followed by the National Anthem. Students from the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP) hosted the programme, which included narrations of Bangladesh's history, vibrant dance performances, drama, live music, and poetry recitations.
Speaking at the event, Dr Palmer said that Victory Day reminds us of the sacrifices that shaped Bangladesh and praised students for their creativity and pride in the nation.
The event reaffirmed ISD's commitment to fostering cultural appreciation and community spirit among learners and staff.
