IFIC Bank organises AML and CFT awareness programme
IFIC Bank PLC, under the guidance and cooperation of the Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU), has organised an awareness programme on "Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing" for its senior officials.
The session was inaugurated by Syed Mansur Mustafa, Managing Director of IFIC Bank, at the IFIC Tower in Old Paltan, Dhaka, on 30 October 2025. Jaynul Abedeen, Joint Director of BFIU, attended the event as the resource person.
At the beginning of the programme, Monitur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director and Chief Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officer (CAMLCO) of the bank, delivered the welcome address.
As the keynote resource person, Jaynul Abedeen discussed in detail the prevailing laws, regulations, and directives issued by the BFIU to combat money laundering and terrorist financing.
The awareness session was attended by the bank's Deputy Managing Directors, heads of various departments, and corporate branch managers. The discussions focused on ensuring strict compliance with existing laws and regulatory guidelines to strengthen the bank's anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing framework.
