Community Bank introduces BO account applications through app
Community Bank Bangladesh has introduced a feature in its Community Cash app that lets customers apply for beneficiary owner (BO) accounts, making Bangladesh's capital market easier to access.
Community Bank Managing Director and Community Bank Investment Limited Director Mohammed Emtiaz Uddin inaugurated the feature in the presence of senior officials from both organisations, according to the press release.
Customers can initiate BO account applications through the app, after which Community Bank Investment Limited will facilitate the account-opening process.

The investment company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Community Bank Bangladesh and handles investment banking and capital market-related activities.
The bank said the facility would make the application process faster and more convenient for customers interested in capital market investment.
By combining banking and investment services on one digital platform, the initiative aims to make it easier for customers to open a BO account.
