PM orders faster progress on inner circular road project to ease Dhaka traffic
The Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges and the Local Government Division were asked to jointly review the existing project plan.
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has ordered faster implementation of the Inner Circular Ring Road project to ease traffic congestion in Dhaka.
During a meeting at the Prime Minister's Office in the Cabinet Division of the Bangladesh Secretariat today (4 October) to review the project's progress, the prime minister directed authorities to remove bottlenecks and speed up construction work.
The Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges and the Local Government Division were asked to jointly review the existing project plan.
The prime minister also stressed better coordination among the agencies concerned.
He called for a realistic deadline to complete the project.
The meeting also focused on ensuring visible progress in the project's implementation within the shortest possible time.
