Green University Bangladesh successfully holds Hult Prize

The Green University of Bangladesh completed the Hult Prize event in 2025.
The event, themed "Unlimited," saw an overwhelming participation of 150 teams, but only 8 outstanding teams advanced to the final round after intense competition.
The event was steered under the leadership of Sohag Hossain (Campus Director, Hult Prize Green University of Bangladesh), whose dedication and coordination ensured the smooth execution of the competition.
Chief Guest Professor Dr Mohammad Shorif Uddin, Vice Chancellor of the Green University of Bangladesh, graced the occasion and inspired the participants with his visionary words. Special guests included Captain (Navy) S M Salahuddin, Registrar of the Green University of Bangladesh, and Professor Dr Mohammed Tareque Aziz, Dean, Faculty of Business Studies and Department of Law (Acting), Green University of Bangladesh.
The final round was judged by Yaseer Ahsan Prottoy, Vice President of merchant Payments at bKash Limited; Mahmudul Hasan, General Manager of merchant Payments in the Commercial Department at bKash Limited; and Khatib Mohammad Taameem, Product Analyst at BRAC IT Services Limited. Their expertise was crucial in evaluating the most impactful and innovative ideas.
Green Revolution, SolLift, and SilkBanana Innovations triumphed in the competition, securing the Champion, 1st Runner-Up, and 2nd Runner-Up positions, respectively.
The event provided participants with a competitive platform and a learning opportunity, with workshops and mentoring sessions designed to enhance their ideas, business models, and presentation skills. Campus Director Sohag Hossain and his dedicated 18-member organising team mainly contributed to the event's success.
The event once again showcased the innovative spirit of Green University of Bangladesh, and the winning teams will now represent the university at regional and international levels.
