Moghbazar Ad-din hospital gets licence back subject to conditions
The hospital will resume outpatient, inpatient and emergency services from 8am tomorrow (28 July).

The government has withdrawn its order cancelling the licence of Ad-din Medical College Hospital in Dhaka's Moghbazar and allowed it to resume operations subject to conditions.
The decision was announced in a notification issued by the Health Services Division today (27 July).

The hospital's licence was revoked on 11 June, following the deaths of six newborns at the facility on 27 May.
Following an appeal filed by the hospital authorities, a probe committee was instructed on 15 July to conduct an on-site inspection to observe the measures taken by the hospital to improve its services.
The government said the committee's findings following the inspection were satisfactory, prompting it to withdraw the licence cancellation order and permit the hospital to resume operations.
However, the approval has been granted subject to three conditions.
Under the conditions, the hospital must continue to comply with the provisions of The Medical Practice and Private Clinics and Laboratories (Regulation) Ordinance, 1982. It must also complete the recruitment of the required number of duty doctors and nurses in line with the terms of its licence at the earliest opportunity.
The notification further said that the authorities empowered by the government may take legal action at any time if the hospital fails to comply with the licence conditions.
Earlier, Health and Family Welfare Minister Sardar Sakhawat Hossain on 28 June strongly criticised the hospital, alleging that doctors' negligence, an oxygen shortage, the shutdown of the central air-conditioning system and widespread mismanagement had led to the deaths of the six newborns.
Hospital to resume services from 28 July
Ad-din Medical College Hospital said it will resume all healthcare services from 8am tomorrow (28 July), nearly 45 days after its operations were suspended.
In a statement issued today, the hospital said its outpatient, inpatient and emergency services will reopen following the Health Ministry's decision to restore its licence.
The order allowing the hospital to resume operations was signed by Health Services Division Secretary Md Kamruzzaman Chowdhury and issued under memorandum No. 45.00.0000.000.163.27.0014.26 (Part-2).103.
Expressing gratitude over the decision, the hospital authorities thanked the government, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), service recipients, politicians, physicians, professional bodies, lawyers, journalists, media personalities, social media activists and well-wishers for their support.
The authorities also thanked those who spoke publicly in support of the institution at different times during the suspension period.
