Grameen Bank appoints deputy managing director

AKM Sajjad Hossain has been appointed as the new Deputy Managing Director of Grameen Bank.
Before this role, he served as a Director at the NGO Asa International. He has also held various leadership positions in BRAC's and BRAC International's microfinance programmes.
After earning his bachelor's degree in computer science from North South University in 2005, Sajjad Hossain began his professional career in the information technology sector.
He later completed both his MBA and MPA in Finance from the University of Dhaka.
With over 16 years of professional experience in the microfinance sector across Asia and Africa, Sajjad Hossain brings a wealth of expertise to his new role.
Upon taking office, he expressed his commitment to further strengthening Grameen Bank's operations, aiming to accelerate poverty alleviation and contribute to the country's economic development.
