Foodpanda rewards delivery partners with umrah packages

Foodpanda has rewarded three delivery partners with fully sponsored Umrah packages, covering all essential travel arrangements.
The initiative was part of a special Ramadan and Eid campaign held in Dhaka and Chattogram, where riders with the highest number of deliveries between March 26, 2024, and April 2024 were recognized. Three riders won Umrah packages, while five others received smartphones for their outstanding performance.
Foodpanda co-founders and managing directors Ambareen Reza and Zubair Siddiky handed over the prizes at a ceremony held at the company's headquarters in Dhaka.
Shohel Rana, a rider from Bailey Road and one of the Umrah package winners, expressed his gratitude: "I had never imagined I would get the chance to go for Umrah. Given our humble living, it always seemed like a far-fetched dream. But thanks to foodpanda's thoughtful Ramadan campaign, this dream has come true. My family and I are truly beyond grateful."
Md Billal Jordar, a rider from Gulshan who won a smartphone this year, reflected on his past experience: "Last year, I was honoured to win the Umrah package and successfully performed Umrah. Foodpanda management provided excellent support with accommodation and all travel arrangements. This year, I am pleased that other delivery partners are receiving this honour, and I am grateful to have won a smartphone. It will truly make both my work and daily life much easier."
Mukitur Khan, Head of Logistics at foodpanda Bangladesh, expressed the company's deep appreciation for all its delivery partners, emphasizing their vital role in its success. He highlighted the dedication and hard work of partners like Shohel and Billal in driving the foodpanda business forward.
The initiative is part of Panda Hearts, foodpanda's flagship programme to uplift delivery partners across five areas: safety, well-being, personal development, community, and welfare perks. It offers flexible earning opportunities, along with benefits such as healthcare, insurance, and online education—demonstrating foodpanda's ongoing commitment to improving the lives of its delivery partners.
