Finexcel launches cyber security training for Banks, NBFIS
Financial Excellence Limited has launched a specialised training programme titled "Ensuring Cyber Security Resilience in the Financial Ecosystem" in Gulshan, Dhaka.
The programme brought together 40 professionals from 13 banks and financial institutions, reflecting the growing importance of cyber security, ICT risk management and regulatory compliance in Bangladesh's financial sector.
The training was inaugurated by S M Tofayel Ahmad (Noman), additional director (ICT) at Bangladesh Bank, who highlighted the need for robust cyber security governance, resilience planning and strict regulatory compliance to safeguard the financial ecosystem.
The programme focuses on key areas including cyber security risks, ICT risk management, cloud security, security operations centres, vulnerability assessment and penetration testing, information systems audit, and business continuity and disaster recovery planning for banks and non-bank financial institutions.
Speaking at the event, Nilufar Rahman, chief executive officer of Financial Excellence Limited, said cyber security has evolved into a strategic and governance priority rather than a purely technical concern. She reaffirmed FinExcel's commitment to strengthening institutional resilience through industry-focused capacity-building initiatives.
