Glenrich International School hosts ‘glendeur 2026’ annual concert
Glenrich International School successfully hosted its annual school concert, GlenDeur 2026, on Saturday at its Satarkul campus, showcasing the creative talents and artistic expression of its students.
More than 160 students from Grades six to nine participated in the student-led event, highlighting the importance of arts as an integral part of holistic education and contemporary schooling.
This year's theme, "Alice in Wonderland", took the audience on an imaginative journey through three distinct eras. The performances began with a Black-and-White Era, symbolising origins and foundational values, moved into a Neon Glitch World reflecting Gen Z culture and modern youth expression, and concluded with a Futuristic Era representing innovation and forward-looking aspirations.
The event was held from 11:30am to 1:30pm at the school auditorium and was attended by parents, siblings of participating students, teachers and staff.
The programme began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by the national anthem. Welcome addresses were delivered by Principal Anit Arora and STS Group CEO Manas Singh. An orchestral opening then marked the start of the theatrical performances.
Students staged a series of thematic performances across three acts. Act One featured a monochrome dance performance set to "Believer", portraying simplicity and foundational beginnings. Act Two introduced high-energy choreography with a skating performance to "Count on Me", set against neon visuals and contemporary motifs. The event concluded with Act Three's grand finale, a powerful rendition of "Bella Ciao" set in a futuristic cityscape.
Speaking at the event, Principal Anit Arora said, "GlenDeur represents more than just a performance—it is an opportunity for our students to explore their creativity, build confidence and work collaboratively. This year's theme encourages them to embrace change and imagine possibilities, values that are central to holistic education."
Rooted in the school's School of Life philosophy, GlenDeur 2026 reflects Glenrich International School's commitment to nurturing confidence, creativity and holistic development through experiential learning beyond the classroom.
The annual concert also provided students with a platform to express themselves through music, dance, drama and orchestral performance, while strengthening the school community and creating lasting memories in their educational journey.
