Brac Bank’s Astha app crosses million mark
BRAC Bank's digital banking app, Astha, has surpassed 10 lakh users, marking a significant milestone in its growth as one of Bangladesh's most widely used digital banking platforms.
In July 2025, Astha facilitated BDT 20,000 crore in transactions—the highest ever monthly figure for a banking app in the country. The app offers instant account opening via eKYC, cardless ATM withdrawals, real-time transfers through NPSB, BEFTN, RTGS, VISA Direct, and wallet partners, as well as bill payments, mobile top-ups, and QR payments.
It also integrates lifestyle features such as ticket booking, streaming, news access, and skill-building courses. "Crossing the 10 lakh user base shows how deeply the app has integrated into people's daily lives," said Mokerrobin Mannan, Chief Digital Officer.
