BRAC Bank launches google pay for visa credit cardholders
BRAC Bank has introduced Google Pay for its Visa credit cardholders, enabling fast, secure and contactless payments through Android smartphones in Bangladesh and abroad.
With the launch, BRAC Bank Visa credit cardholders can add their cards to Google Wallet and make payments at millions of merchant locations that support Google Pay locally and globally.
The facility eliminates the need to carry physical cards for everyday transactions, offering customers greater convenience and flexibility for both local and international spending.
Google Pay uses encryption and tokenisation, ensuring card details are not shared with merchants and that each transaction remains secure.
To mark the launch, BRAC Bank is offering 20% cashback on the first Google Pay transaction and 10% cashback on the second and third transactions. The offer will be valid for the first two months until 31 March 2026, subject to campaign terms and conditions.
Commenting on the launch, Tareq Refat Ullah Khan, managing director and CEO of BRAC Bank, said, "The introduction of Google Pay for our Visa credit card customers marks another step forward in our digital transformation journey. By combining global payment technology with our customer-first approach, we are enabling safer, faster and more convenient transactions anywhere in the world."
The launch reflects BRAC Bank's continued commitment to expanding digital payment capabilities and enhancing customer experience, supporting the country's move towards a cashless economy.
