BRAC Bank launches Google Pay for Visa credit cardholders
BRAC Bank Visa credit cardholders can add their credit cards to Google Wallet and make payments at millions of merchant locations that support Google Pay locally and globally.
BRAC Bank has launched Google Pay for its Visa credit cardholders, allowing fast, secure and contactless payments through Android smartphones both in Bangladesh and abroad, the bank said in a press release today (9 February).
BRAC Bank Visa credit cardholders can add their credit cards to Google Wallet and make payments at millions of merchant locations that support Google Pay locally and globally.
This payment facility eliminates the need to carry physical cards for everyday transactions.
The service offers customers greater freedom, convenience, and flexibility for both local and international spending.
Google Pay uses advanced encryption technology, ensuring card details are never shared with merchants and that each transaction remains highly secure, making it a trusted digital payment solution.
To celebrate the launch, BRAC Bank is offering 20% cashback on the first Google Pay transaction and 10% cashback on the second and third transactions, valid for the first two months until 31 March 2026, subject to campaign terms and conditions.
Commenting on the launch, Tareq Refat Ullah Khan, Managing Director & CEO of BRAC Bank, said, "The launching of Google Pay for our Visa Credit Card customers marks another step forward in our digital transformation journey. By combining global payment technology with our customer-first approach, we are enabling safer, faster, and more convenient transactions anywhere in the world."
The launch reflects BRAC Bank's continued commitment to expanding digital payment capabilities, enhancing customer experience and supporting the country's move towards a cashless economy.
