BRAC Bank distributes 62,000 winter clothes to marginalised communities
BRAC Bank has distributed more than 62,000 winter clothes nationwide to support marginalised communities affected by extreme cold.
As part of the initiative, the bank provided 13,000 blankets through the Chief Advisor's Welfare Fund and the Chattogram City Corporation, ensuring timely support for vulnerable communities in urban and semi-urban areas.
In parallel, BRAC Bank leveraged its SME and distribution network to deliver 49,653 hoodies at the union level, reaching madrasas, orphanages and communities with limited access to winter protection, particularly children and the elderly.
The programme aims to reduce health risks associated with severe cold and safeguard lives during the winter months, focusing on those most exposed to hardship.
BRAC Bank Managing Director and CEO Tareq Refat Ullah Khan said, "At BRAC Bank, standing beside the vulnerable is not an obligation, it is a responsibility. This winter assistance programme reflects our commitment to inclusion, dignity and care, translated into action that delivers real impact."
BRAC Bank remains committed to national well-being through impactful CSR initiatives that address immediate humanitarian needs and support long-term social resilience.
