BKash Ramadan campaign rewards remittance recipients
Twenty-one remittance recipients—including a Tk1 lakh top prize winner—received cash coupons via bKash during Ramadan.
The campaign, launched ahead of Ramadan and Eid, aimed to encourage expatriates to remit funds home via a safe, fast and legal channel. Winners' coupons were credited directly to their bKash accounts.
Md Nayan Mia, the highest monthly remittance recipient, secured the mega coupon of Tk1 lakh during the campaign, which ran from 19 February to 18 March 2026.

Additionally, five weekly winners each received electronic device coupons ranging from Tk25,000 to Tk5,000.
Customers who received at least Tk10,000 in remittances in a single day were also rewarded with a Tk300 discount coupon.
According to bKash, expatriates can now send remittances directly to bKash accounts through 135 international money transfer organisations across more than 170 countries, with settlements processed via 27 leading commercial banks in Bangladesh.
The company added that remittance recipients receive a government incentive of Tk25 for every 1,000 taka.
bKash noted that remittance transfers to its accounts are gaining popularity owing to features such as instant transfers without a bank account, flexible transfer amounts and the ability to download remittance statements.
The company said these services are also helping to strengthen the country's foreign currency reserves.
bKash added that it regularly launches such initiatives to raise awareness and encourage expatriates to send remittances through safe, legal channels.
