Bengal Commercial Bank appoints RSA advisory as partner
Bengal Commercial Bank has engaged RSA Advisory Limited as its advisory firm to support long-term financial growth through the sustainable development of the bank's cottage, micro, small, and medium enterprise (CMSME) segment.
An agreement to this effect was signed on Tuesday, 13 January 2026, at the bank's head office in Gulshan, Dhaka.
Tarik Morshed, Managing Director and CEO of Bengal Commercial Bank, and K Mahmood Sattar, Chairman of RSA Advisory Limited and former Managing Director and CEO of City Bank and Eastern Bank, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations. Selim RF Hossain, Senior Consultant of RSA Advisory Limited and former Managing Director of BRAC Bank, was present at the event.

From Bengal Commercial Bank, K M Awlad Hossain, Additional Managing Director and Chief Business Officer; Dr Md Rafiqul Islam, Deputy Managing Director and Chief Technology Officer; and Md Humayun Kabir, FCS, Deputy Managing Director and Company Secretary, along with other senior officials of both organisations, attended the signing ceremony.
Since its inception, Bengal Commercial Bank has played a significant role in fostering entrepreneurship by financing small and medium enterprises and expanding access to banking services for the unbanked. Under the agreement, RSA Advisory Limited will act as a strategic partner in the bank's overall transformation, with a particular focus on the micro and SME segments.
The partnership is expected to ensure more timely and inclusive banking services for CMSME entrepreneurs, while enhancing the bank's operational efficiency and institutional capacity.
