Banglalink, Romoni partner to boost women’s digital income
Banglalink has entered into a strategic partnership with Romoni, a leading beauty-tech platform.
The goal is to empower women service providers by diversifying their income through digital and financial inclusion.
Through this initiative, service providers will receive training to perform digital recharges on their smartphones. They will earn commissions and use the app as an additional income-generating channel.
The signing ceremony took place at Banglalink's headquarters, Tigers' Den, where key leaders from both Banglalink and Romoni formalised the partnership.
As part of the collaboration, service providers will sell recharge and other digital services through the app. This unlocks an additional income stream. They will also receive training in digital literacy and responsible usage. This ensures safe and confident participation in the digital marketplace.
Banglalink Power, a social distribution platform, enables users to earn from recharge sales without any set-up cost. Participants can join via a digital KYC process and track commissions in real time. They also benefit from a transparent reward system.
The initiative is designed to complement existing livelihoods by introducing an additional digital income stream. It targets women who are already active and trusted in their communities. This provides a clearer entry point into the digital economy.
Banglalink stated that the initiative supports its broader commitment to help women and micro-entrepreneurs progress from basic digital awareness to active, skills-based participation in the digital economy.
Muhammad Mehedi Hasan, Sales and Distribution Director at Banglalink, commented: 'Women such as Romoni's service providers are already making meaningful contributions within their communities. We want to ensure they are equipped with the digital skills and tools needed for further growth. Banglalink Power provides a practical and accessible earning opportunity. It helps build the confidence required to unlock new prospects.'
Armin Zaman Khan, Chief Executive Officer of Romoni, added: 'This partnership opens new opportunities for our service providers. The Banglalink Power app offers the technology platform needed to expand their services and increase daily earnings. It is about equipping them with the right tools to bolster financial independence in the digital economy.'
Banglalink was represented by Muhammad Mehedi Hasan, Sales and Distribution Director; Md Khaledul Hasan, Deputy Director of Digital Recharge and Alternate Channel; and Mohammad Tahmidur Rahman, Head of Digital Recharge.
Representing Romoni were Armin Zaman Khan, Chief Executive Officer, and Nashiba Samarat, Assistant Manager for Marketing.
