Banglalink launches smartphone installment offer with PalmPay

Banglalink, the country's leading digital operator, has introduced a "Smartphone on Installment" offer, making smartphones more affordable and accessible for a broader population for the first time in Bangladesh. The initiative allows customers to buy 4G smartphones from Banglalink Centres through a simple instalment plan without a banking card.

Customers can now upgrade from 2G or 3 G to 4G smartphones with just a 15% down payment of the device's EMI price and associated charges. The rest of the amount can be paid in convenient monthly instalments over 9 months, enabling a smooth and financially flexible transition to digital connectivity.

Mehedi Al Amin, Marketing Operations Director at Banglalink, said, "At Banglalink, we are committed to accelerating digital inclusion by breaking the entry price barrier of smartphones. With this initiative, we aim to make 4G smartphones more affordable and accessible to everyone, particularly those without access to credit cards or formal banking facilities. We are taking another step toward a digitally empowered and connected Bangladesh by empowering more people to join the digital ecosystem."

This initiative is made possible through Banglalink's strategic collaboration with PalmPay, Genex and Ismartu, further underscoring the company's dedication to forming partnerships that drive meaningful impact.

Jun Zeng, Managing Director of PalmPay Limited, commented, "We are proud to collaborate with Banglalink on this meaningful initiative. By eliminating the need for credit cards to purchase smartphones on installments, we are making digital connectivity more inclusive and comfortable for customers across various financial backgrounds. In the long run, this will contribute significantly to narrowing the digital divide."

Rezwanul Hoque, Chief Executive Officer, ISMARTU Technology Bangladesh Limited, said, "We are at the forefront in terminal business and are relentlessly assisting customers with quality smartphones from the Itel, TECNO, and Infinix brands. EMI on our smartphones makes them affordable. Collaborating with Banglalink will add significant value to our customers' lives."

Customers can visit any Banglalink Centre nationwide and select their preferred device from trusted smartphone brands, including Itel, TECNO, and Infinix. With a simple application process through the PalmPay app, they can complete the entire process and walk away with their new smartphone in as little as 30 minutes. MFI partner Chetona facilitates the EMI proposition.

Customers purchasing a device under this offer will receive 18GB of complimentary internet for three months, an automatic upgrade to the Orange Club Gold tier, and a 150% bonus through the Mybl app.
