Banglalink launches free IMO access offer to help families stay connected
Banglalink has announced a special initiative to help customers stay connected with relatives in the Middle East amid ongoing tensions and security uncertainties in parts of the region, the company said.
The Middle East hosts a large Bangladeshi expatriate community whose contributions remain important to both host countries and Bangladesh's economy. Recent developments have heightened concern among families at home, including many Banglalink customers seeking reassurance about the safety of their loved ones abroad, the operator said.
To support uninterrupted communication during the period, Banglalink will offer free access to IMO from 3–5 March 2026. Under the initiative, customers will be able to make voice and video calls through the platform without additional data charges during the offer period, the company said.
Banglalink customers can activate the free IMO access offer by dialling *121*555# once during the campaign period, according to the operator.
"At Banglalink, our responsibility extends beyond providing network services. As a digital operator committed to a people-first approach rooted in care, we remain focused on delivering meaningful support to our customers during critical times. By ensuring seamless communication, we aim to ease the concerns of families and reinforce the human dimension of connectivity," said Kazi Mahboob Hassan, chief marketing officer of Banglalink.
