Annex Communications to manage advertising inside metro rail
Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) has signed an agreement with Annex Communications Limited to secure advertising space inside the Metro Rail.
The agreement was signed on 1 December at the DMTCL office in Diabari, Uttara.
Through this partnership, DMTCL will offer brands a range of indoor advertising opportunities across various locations inside the Metro Rail network. With thousands of commuters travelling daily from diverse social and demographic groups, the Metro Rail has emerged as a high-impact platform for large-scale visibility and brand engagement.
Khondaker Ehteshamul Kabir, joint secretary and company secretary (additional charge) of DMTCL, and Sharif Sabbir, director of Annex Communications Limited, signed and exchanged the agreement. Annex Communications, one of the country's leading advertising agencies, will support the placement and management of branding inside the trains and stations.
Officials said the partnership marks a new chapter in Metro Rail branding. With DMTCL's expanding network and Annex Communications' experience in advertising and communication, the collaboration is expected to create new business opportunities and enhance the commuter experience. Both organisations expressed enthusiasm about delivering effective and impactful branding solutions to the public.
The signing ceremony was attended by senior officials from both organisations. From DMTCL, attendees included Managing Director Faruque Ahmed; Brigadier General (retd) Md Abdul Wohab, ndc, P Engg, project director; and A K M Khairul Alam, director (administration). From Annex Communications Limited, attendees included Chairman Mahmudur Rahman; Adviser Saidul Amin; Chief Accounts and Finance Officer Sahin Sarker; and Deputy General Manager (operations) Abu Sayed Md Mobin. Also present was the DMTCL branding consultant.
