AI, automation event highlights digital push in apparel sector
Bangladesh's apparel sector took a decisive stride towards digital transformation as Dhaka played host to a high-level AI and Automation Innovation Event, convening global technology leaders and prominent local industry stakeholders.
Jointly organised by Centric Software—a global leader in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions—and US-based technology firm Zukunu Inc, the event underscored strategic collaboration in driving innovation.
Leading manufacturing groups, such as Hameem Group, Majumdar Group, SQ Group, MAS Holdings, Azim and Sons, and Knit Concern Group, were present at the event.
Industry leaders engaged in in-depth discussions on how artificial intelligence, automation, and data-driven decision-making are redefining supply chains and manufacturing processes.
Zukunu Inc Founder and Chief Business Officer Syed Rifath Noweid Hussain, alongside Chief Executive Officer Srajan Kumar Saxena, emphasised the growing significance of data optimisation, historical trend analysis, and AI-driven supply chain intelligence across the apparel sector.
They noted that effective data utilisation can drastically improve operational efficiency and reduce waste throughout manufacturing processes.
Centric Software Senior Director Nicholas Wei Yick Don shared insights on how global brands and manufacturers are leveraging PLM and AI-powered solutions to accelerate time-to-market, strengthen cost control, and improve supply chain transparency.
Industry observers said such initiatives are vital for bolstering Bangladesh's position within the global manufacturing landscape.
