Al-Arafah Islami Bank signs MoU with HBRI

Al-Arafah Islami Bank PLC. (AIBPLC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Housing and Building Research Institute (HBRI) to promote sustainable and eco-friendly housing development. The MoU was signed in the presence of Md. Ashraful Alam, Director General of HBRI, as the chief guest. Md. Fazlur Rahman Chowdhury, Deputy Managing Director of AIBPLC, and Mohammad Parvez Khadem, Principal Research Engineer of HBRI, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.

Senior officials from both institutions, including Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, Head of Retail Banking Division of AIBPLC, and Saif Imam Bokhari, Head of Products & Propositions, were also present.

As part of the agreement, AIBPLC clients will gain access to HBRI's specialized sustainability compliance certificates for climate-resilient and green housing. This partnership will facilitate eco-friendly retail products and housing projects, underscoring AIBPLC's commitment to advancing environmentally responsible solutions. The collaboration aims to provide AIBPLC's home investment clients with energy-efficient housing options at attractive and affordable profit rates.
