AB Bank PLC signs agreement with Akij Takaful Life Insurance
AB Bank PLC and Akij Takaful Life Insurance PLC signed an agreement under which AB Bank explored a new horizon in the Islamic Deposit Protection Scheme (DPS) by introducing free insurance coverage up to Tk. 50.00 lac for the first time for Islamic depositors.
Mr Samsun Arifin, Head of the Islamic Banking Division, AB Bank PLC, and Mr Mohammad Masuduzzaman Khan, DMD and Chief Corporate Officer, Financial Officer, Akij Takaful Life Insurance PLC, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
Mr Sazzadul Karim, Chief Executive Officer of Akij Takaful Life Insurance PLC, Mr Fardaus Ahmed, Head of the General Banking Division, Mr Taufiq Hassan, Head of the Retail Banking Division, along with other officials from both organisations, were also present at the occasion.
