AAUB holds 18th Syndicate meeting at Lalmonirhat campus
The eighteenth Syndicate Meeting of Aviation and Aerospace University, Bangladesh (AAUB) took place in the conference room of its Lalmonirhat campus on Thursday.
The meeting was presided over by Air Vice-Marshal A K M Manirul Bahar, OSP, BSP, ndc, hdmc, afwc, psc, ADWC, Vice-Chancellor of the university.
In his opening remarks, the Vice-Chancellor welcomed participants to Lalmonirhat, describing the campus as a symbol of the national dream. He said the members of the Syndicate represent the driving force behind the university's progress, policy formulation and overall direction.
He reiterated that the university's core mission is to advance aviation and aerospace education, thereby strengthening Bangladesh's technological competitiveness and promoting sustainable national development. Emphasising a blend of ethical values and technical excellence, he said the institution aims to nurture professionals who combine skill with altruism.
The Vice-Chancellor expressed his conviction that AAUB, established to help build a knowledge-based Bangladesh, would stand as a source of national pride. He also reviewed major developments since the seventeenth Syndicate Meeting, held on 21 August 2025.
The meeting discussed and approved several key agenda items related to academic and administrative matters. Representatives from the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, Armed Forces Division, Bangladesh Air Force, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) attended the session alongside other syndicate members.
