SEU holds orientation for Fall 2025 freshers
Southeast University (SEU) warmly welcomed newly admitted students of the autumn 2025 semester through a freshers' reception and orientation programme held at the university's multipurpose hall on Thursday.
The orientation featured two separate sessions organised by SEU's academic schools to greet and guide students from various departments as they embarked on their higher education journey.
The first session hosted students from the Departments of Architecture, EEE, CSE, Textile Engineering and Bangla, with Professor Dr Syeda Sultana Razia, member of the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission, attending as Chief Guest.
Later in the day, the second session welcomed students from the BBA and MBA programmes, along with those from the Departments of Economics and English, featuring Professor Dr Mohammad Siddiqur Rahman Khan, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, University of Dhaka, as Chief Guest.
Speakers encouraged students to embrace their chosen fields with dedication and to pursue continuous self-development, urging them to be prepared for future opportunities.
Both sessions were presided over by Professor Dr Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, Vice-Chancellor of SEU. Professor Dr M Mofazzal Hossain, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, and Major General Md Anwarul Islam, SUP, ndu, psc (Retd), Registrar, also addressed the students, along with the respective deans and department chairs.
The programme introduced new students to SEU's academic environment, institutional values and available resources, marking the beginning of a vibrant and inspiring university experience.
