AAUB celebrates 6th raising day celebrated

The 6th Raising Day of Aviation and Aerospace University Bangladesh (AAUB) was enthusiastically celebrated on 26 February 2025.
Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, BBP, OSP, GUP, nswc, psc, GD(P) Chief of Air Staff Bangladesh Air Force was the chief guest and inaugurated the day's programme. With due respect and sadness, he begins by honouring the courageous martyrs of our liberation war and the language martyrs who gave their lives for the mother tongue; in return, we have today's independent Bangladesh. He added that today, it becomes even more distressing when we remember those pivotal moments of July-August 2024 when the fearless students and general people were brutalised.
Even though many of them suffered martyrdom, their sacrifice will live on in our memories forever. Later, the chief guest said that this university is an educational institution and a symbol of our national pride, where future aeronautical engineers, researchers and space scientists are being groomed. The Chief of Air Staff highly appreciated the university's various achievements. Finally, he hoped that in keeping with the modern knowledge of the rapidly changing world, Aviation and Aerospace University Bangladesh would play an essential role in developing a skilled and competitive workforce for the aviation industry at the national and international levels.
Vice Chancellor Air Vice Marshal A K M Manirul Bahar, OSP, BSP, NDC, hdmc, afwc, PSC, ADWC extended his best wishes and greetings to those at the 6th Raising Day ceremony. He mentioned in his speech that the university is committed to creating a research-oriented and advanced learning environment where students will not only broaden their knowledge but also generate new ideas and prove their skills in the global arena. He added that by accomplishing astounding achievements one after another, the students of this university have demonstrated that they are capable of dreaming and making our long-held goals and aspirations a reality. Finally, he congratulated the students and sincerely thanked all attendees, especially the respected Chief of Air Force, for his unwavering support of the university.
On the occasion of the day, the university published a magazine called "Space & Beyond" related to aviation and space. In one ceremony stage, university students presented a colourful cultural programme. In this ceremony, PSO BAF, Air Officer Commanding BAF MTR, Civil and military dignitaries, and members of AAUB were present.
AAUB started its journey in 2019 on a small scale at the old Dhaka airport. Subsequently, AAUB commenced its undergraduate academic sessions from Lalmonirhat Campus on 03 July 2022. The university is conducting four undergraduate and five postgraduate courses under four faculties. This university aims to provide facilities for 9,000 students for higher education in 45 departments under eight faculties by 2041.
