Modi expresses concern over Khaleda Zia's health, offers support
He stated that India stands ready to extend “all possible support, in whatever way we can.”
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed deep concern over the health condition of BNP Chairperson and former Bangladesh prime minister Khaleda Zia.
In a post on X today (1 December), Modi said Khaleda Zia "has contributed to Bangladesh's public life for many years," adding that India's "sincere prayers and best wishes" are with her for a speedy recovery.
He further stated that India stands ready to extend "all possible support, in whatever way we can."
Khaleda Zia, 80, has long been suffering from multiple health complications and is currently undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka.
