EBL adjudged Bank of the Year Bangladesh 2020 by the Banker

Eastern Bank Ltd. (EBL), a leading private sector bank of the country, has been awarded the prestigious Bank of the Year 2020 Bangladesh by The Banker. The Banker is an English-language monthly international financial affairs publication.

The virtual award program was held today which was attended by Ali Reza Iftekhar, Managing Director and CEO and Ziaul Karim, Head of Communications and External Affairs of EBL.

Commenting on winning the Award, Ali Reza Iftekhar said, "It has been an honor and privilege to have received the coveted Bank of the Year 2020 award for Bangladesh by The Banker. Winning a truly global award is a testimony to our commitment to the society we operate in, our service excellence, best-in-class banking products and our passion for performance. In this auspicious occasion, I thank our customers, shareholders, forward-looking board of directors, and our regulators, particularly Bangladesh central bank for their faith, support and guidance to help us emerge as a leading financial institution in Bangladesh."

The Banker is read in over 180 countries and owned by The Financial Times Ltd.  Since 1926, each year The Banker's Bank of the Year Awards recognizes the best performing banks across the world.
