Biman Bangladesh Airlines celebrated International Women's Day with a special gesture, operating an all-female flight to highlight women's equality, empowerment, and the fight against violence and discrimination. 

This special flight not only celebrated the achievements of women but also showcased the essential roles they play in the aviation industry, reads a press release.

The flight was led by an all-female crew, including Captain Anita and First Officer Tasnuva, as they piloted the Dhaka-Bangkok-Dhaka BG 388 flight. 

The flight, which took off from Dhaka at 11:20am today (8 March), was staffed entirely by women—five female cabin crew members accompanied the cockpit crew, emphasising the presence and leadership of women in the traditionally male-dominated field of aviation.

The International Women's Day is being observed across the country today as elsewhere in the world with the theme "Rights, Equality, Empowerment/Development of Women and Girls".
