Quota protest: At least 30 critical as over 1,000 injured across country
The number of injured increasing rapidly
Over 1,000 quota reform protesters were injured reportedly in clashes with police and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League across the country today (18 July).
At least 130 injured people were taking treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital with injuries since clashes broke out in the capital, according to data from the hospital.
Of the injured, at least 60 were wounded from rubber bullets and 30 were in critical conditions, sources said.

At Farazy Hospital in the capital's Banasree, at least 200-300 people received treatment since morning, said Rubel Hossain, deputy general manager of the hospital.
Savar's Enam Medical College Hospital Duty Manager Isuf Ali said at least 10 people injured in clashes with police received treatment at the hospital till 3pm.
Meanwhile, at Uttara Adhunik Medical College Hospital, 248 people came with injuries to receive treatment, according to hospital sources.
On the other hand, 200 injured people were taking treatment at Hi-Care General and Specialised Hospital in Uttara, sources said.
In Uttara's Kuwait Maitree Hospital, 40 injured were receiving treatment, hospital sources said.
Chattogram Medical College Hospital Duty Doctor Tuhin Shubhra Das told TBS that 35 injured persons were receiving treatment in different wards of the hospital as of 7pm.
