Nur's affidavit shows wife owns three times more land than him
The affidavit also details Nurul Haque Nur’s movable assets at Tk89.82 lakh
Gono Odhikar Parishad President and Patuakhali-3 aspirant Nurul Haque Nur has disclosed in his affidavit for the 13th national election that his wife, Maria Akhter, owns three times more agricultural land than him.
In the affidavit, Nur declared 82 decimals of land in his name, valued at around Tk61,000, while Maria Akhter holds 3 acres worth Tk10 lakh.
The affidavit also details Nurul Haque Nur's movable assets at Tk89.82 lakh. His primary source of income stated as business, generating an annual income of Tk15.85 lakh, with additional income of Tk4.54 lakh from other sources.

He holds cash of Tk28.38 lakh, bank deposits of Tk2.89 lakh, non-listed company shares worth Tk2.75 lakh, and business capital and other inherited assets totaling Tk55.80 lakh.
Nur faces six pending legal cases and has been acquitted in eight others.
