NCP forms 12-member search committee to establish advisory council
Samantha Sharmin appointed coordinator of the committee

The National Citizen Party (NCP) has announced the formation of a 12-member search committee tasked with establishing the party's advisory council.
NCP Senior Joint Convener Samantha Sharmin has been appointed as the coordinator of the committee, the party said in a press release issued today (16 May).
The members of the committee include: Tajnuva Zabin, Sultan Mohammad Zakaria, Dr Atik Mujahid, Arpita Shyama Deb, Khaled Saifullah, Alauddin Mohammad, Moshfekur Rahman Johan, Mir Arshadul Haque, Maulana Sanaullah Khan, Dilshana Parul, and Khan Mohammad Mursalin.
Speaking to The Business Standard, Samantha Sharmin said, "Regardless of a political party's size, two elements are crucial: internal and external accountability, and a mindset open to wise counsel when necessary."
She added that although the NCP is a relatively new political organisation, it places strong emphasis on both of these principles.
"An experienced advisory council will play a key role in guiding the party nationwide, ensuring its outreach, and keeping it on the right path," she said.
