Nahid visits Jamaat ameer at hospital
During the visit, Nahid inquired about the Jamaat chief’s health and conveyed his best wishes for a speedy recovery
National Citizens Party (NCP) Convener Nahid Islam visited Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman, who is currently receiving treatment at United Hospital in Gulshan.
Nahid was accompanied by NCP Senior Joint Convener Ariful Islam Adeeb, said a press release.
During the visit, Nahid Islam inquired about the Jamaat chief's health and conveyed his best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Shafiqur Rahman was admitted to United Hospital in Dhaka yesterday (30 July) after doctors discovered three significant blockages in his heart and recommended immediate bypass surgery.
According to his personal assistant Nazrul Islam, the heart condition was diagnosed following a sudden collapse on stage while delivering a speech during the party's national rally at Suhrawardy Udyan on 19 July.
Subsequent tests, including an angiogram conducted under the supervision of cardiologist Dr Mominuzzaman yesterday (30 July), revealed the blockages.
