Ganosamhati Andolan elects 55-member central executive body
Alongside the executive committee, the party also formed its central advisory and consultative councils
Ganosamhati Andolan has elected a 55-member Central Executive Committee at its 5th National Conference, with Zonayed Saki as chief coordinator and Abul Hasan Rubel as executive coordinator.
Representatives from across the country elected the new leadership during the concluding session of the three-day conference, held at the Gonoshasthaya PHA Convention Centre in Savar yesterday (2 November).
The conference, inaugurated on 31 October, was organised under the slogan of building a "non-discriminatory and inclusive Bangladesh" that ensures rights and dignity for workers, farmers, and marginalised communities.
The inaugural rally took place at the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh, in Dhaka.
Over the next two days, representatives and observers discussed the party's political report, constitutional amendments, manifesto, code of conduct, and a draft plan for democratic transformation.
The documents and recommendations will be finalised at a special representative conference scheduled for 21–22 November.

The newly elected leadership includes members Dewan Abdur Rashid Nilu, Firoz Ahmed, Taslima Akhter, Hasan Maruf Rumi, and Monir Uddin Pappu.
Other members include Bachchu Bhuiyan, Julhasnain Babu, Advocate Murad Morshed, Dipok Kumar Roy, Tarikul Sujan, SM Amzad Hossain, and Alif Dewan, among others.
The advisory council comprises Nazar Ahmed, Firoz Ahsan, Keramot Ali, and Nurul Alam Shahin, while the consultative council includes Sayema Khatun, Engineer Jakaria Newaz, Group Captain (Retd) Khalid Hossain, Soikat Mollick, Shyamoli Shil, and Imrad Zulkar Nain.
