Renowned Freedom fighter Badiuzzaman Tunu Bir Protik died of old-age complications at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital in the early hours of today where he was undergoing treatment for the last couple of days.
He was 91.
Badiuzzaman, who was a frontline fighter in the great War of Liberation in Rajshahi area, left behind his two sons, three daughters and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.

In separate condolence messages, Mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation AHM Khairuzzaman Liton and Fazley Hossain Badsha, MP, condoled the death of Freedom Fighter Badiuzzaman.
They prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the members of the bereaved family.
